Peachy popsicles for kids

May 11, 2004 in In Season & Other Fresh Foods

We've longed for months for the warm sun of summer – and it will be here shortly in full force. Then we'll be looking for ways to cool down!

The Canadian Living Test Kitchen has a great idea that will appeal to kids of all ages. Deliciously flavoured ice pops can easily be made in your own kitchen and that way you get to control what goes into them. All you need is a blender, some freezer-pop molds and Popsicle sticks.

When peach season rolls around in August, make the most of it with some Peaches and Cream Pop (made with vanilla yogurt not cream!). You will certainly be refreshed with the Creamy Orange Pops or the Puckery Lemon Drop Pops. Seasonal berries also make great additions with Strawberry Orange Pops, Ice Cran-Raspberry Pops and Wild Blueberry Blast Pops.

As always there has to be something for the chocolate lover. How do Choco-Banana Pops sound? Other recipes include Marvelous Melon Pops and Grape Pops. Ahhh, cool comfort!
