Haute Grilled Avocados

Ingredients

large ripe Fresh California Avocados
3 tbsp fresh lime or lemon juice
2 tbsp olive oil
 salt and pepper to taste
3/4 cup  salsa (optional for half-shell version)

Directions

For Grilled Slices: 1. Cut avocado in half, seed, peel and slice. Drizzle with fresh lime juice and brush lightly with olive oil. 2. Gently place slices on grill over hot coals for 2 minutes on each side. Season with salt to taste. 3. Serve immediately. For Grilled Half-Shell: 1. Cut avocado in half and remove seed. Drizzle with fresh lime juice and brush lightly with olive oil. Gently place cut side down on grill over hot coals for 2-3 minutes. Season with salt to taste. 2. Serve immediately. Makes 4 servings. Nutrition Information per serving: 160 calories, 3g protein, 17g fat, 3g saturated fat, 11g monounsaturated fat, 3g polyunsaturated fat, 0mg cholesterol, 8g fibre, 140mg sodium.
