With the low-carb trend waning, a surplus of low-carb products, such as Atkins Nutritional bars, shakes and breakfast mixes are making their way to food banks and charities in the Appalachians. Free food of any sort can help ensure that people don't go hungry, but these products won't exactly provide all the nutrients (ahem - carbs) their bodies need. Plus, who wants to use a food bank where everyone has sweet ketosis breath?
