Canadian Diabetes Association releases new healthy lifestyle resource

This week the Canadian Diabetes Association (CDA) released a new resource entitled Beyond the Basics: Lifestyle Choices for Diabetes Prevention and Management

This is the third tool in the Beyond the Basics series from CDA that aims to educate people with diabetes, or people at risk of diabetes to make the right lifestyle choices, maintain a healthy weight, manage blood glucose levels and delay or prevent the onset of diabetes.

This latest manual focuses on consumer-related advice and includes tips on traveling, healthy snacking, weight management, as well as healthy eating on a budget.

Since the goal of the resource is to promote good health and smart lifestyle choices, it's actually a tool that all Canadians can benefit from, whether or not they have diabetes.

Beyond the Basics: Lifestyle Choices for Diabetes Prevention and Management can be purchased from the CDA for $19.95.  It can be ordered here.
