Program Includes: Total of 9 appointments scheduled over 12 weeks
(Two 30-minute appointments plus seven 15-minute follow-up appointments. Appointments can be done in person, by phone or via Skype.)
- Initial 30-minute assessment to review goals, medical history, blood work, current food intake, portion sizes, food preferences, restaurants/food courts frequented, supplement use, exercise habits and to take body measurements. Blood tests can be done if needed.
- Based on your assessment, Leslie then prepares A Personalized Meal Plan and Recommendations Report which is designed to help you achieve a weight loss of 1 to 3 pounds per week in addition to other goals you may have (e.g. cholesterol lowering, energy management, etc.)
- A second 30-minute appointment during which Leslie presents your weight loss plan and nutrition recommendations. Recommended reading includes Leslie’s book, The No Fail Diet, which provides additional motivational tips, quick meal ideas, recipes as well as home-based 12 Week Exercise Program.
- Seven 15-minute follow up visits booked weekly for the first half of the program and the once every two weeks afterwards. During your follow ups, Leslie will review your food diary, discuss ways to overcome obstacles/challenges, measure your weight and set goals for the following week. You’ll learn about reading nutrition labels, navigating restaurant menus, increasing fibre, supplementation, and other topics related to your goals.
If your goals include lowering LDL cholesterol or blood sugar, at 12 weeks Leslie can order blood work to show you your progress.
Professional Fee: $890
If you prefer to come weekly for the duration of the program, or if you want to extend your program past three months, you can add extra follow up appointments. Four follow up visits are $250.
Nutrition/diet counseling by a Registered Dietitian may be covered under your extended benefits plan. Check with your benefits manager.
