Avocado Smoothie

Tired of the usual banana and berry smoothie? Try this unusual but tasty version using avocados.

Avocado Smoothie


Quantity Ingredients
3/4 cup avocado (6 oz.)
1 cup vanilla ice cream
4 tbsp low-fat milk
1 1/3 cups frozen strawberries
1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
1 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp cinnamon


Cut avocado in half. Remove skin and pit. Cut into 1-inch cubes.

In a blender, place avocado, ice cream, milk and strawberries. Blend until smooth.

Add honey, nutmeg and cinnamon. Blend until mixed.

Pour into cups or mugs.

Sprinkle with extra nutmeg, if desired. Makes 2 servings.
