|1/4 cup / 50 ml||walnut halves|
|2 tbsp / 25 ml||dried cherries|
|2 tbsp / 25 ml||dark chocolate chips|
|1/2 cup / 125 ml||toasted large-flake rolled oats|
To toast oats (optional, but adds a nutty flavour), spread the oats on a baking sheet and pop them in an oven heated to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Toast for 10 minutes, turning occasionally until golden brown.
In a large mixing bowl, toss together almonds, walnuts, dried cherries, chocolate chips and oats.
Store in an airtight container.
Tip: Make a batch of toasted oats. They're delicious cooked as oatmeal or soaked overnight for a quick breakfast.
