Crunchy Granola

Breakfast, Snacks.
Soybeans add crunch and lots of protein to this granola mix. This granola may be served as a dry cereal or as a snack.

Crunchy Granola


Quantity Ingredients
2 cups rolled oats
1/2 cup wheat germ
1/4 cup soy flour
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup sesame seeds
1/2 cup shelled sunflower seeds
1/2 cup roasted soybeans, chopped
1/3 cup chopped dates
3/4 tsp cinnamon
3/4 cup nutmeg
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup liquid honey
1/4 cup soy or vegetable oil


1. In a large bowl, combine rolled oats, wheat germ and soy flour. Add Raisins, sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, roasted soybeans and dates. Add cinnamon, nutmeg and salt. Mix thoroughly. 2. Combine honey and soy oil. Pour over dry ingredients and mix well. 3. Spread in roasting pan. Bake in 250 degree F oven for 1-1/2 hours, stirring every 15 minutes. 4. Cool. Store in air-tight container.
