In this Japanese method of cooking rice, the liquid never comes to a full boil, which would reduce the amount of antioxidants. So, your rice will absorb not only the tea's flavor and light brown hue, but also its healthful properties. 

Green Tea Steamed Rice


Quantity Ingredients
1 tbsp canola oil
1 cup sushi rice
1 cup green tea


1. To make green tea, pour hot not boiling water over teabags and steep for five minutes. Use one teabag for every cup of hot water. 2. Combine ingredients in a small pot, cover and cook on low heat for 25-30 minutes
