2 cups / 500 ml | mixed berries such as strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and blueberries |
2 tbsp / 25 ml | chopped fresh mint |
Amount | zest of 1 lemon |
1 tbsp / 15 ml | granulated sugar |
Directions
In a large bowl, combine berries and mint.
To prepare candied lemon zest, combine lemon zest and sugar in a small bowl. Set aside for 30 minutes, until zest and sugar begin to crystallize.
Just prior to serving, top fruit mixture with crystallized zest.
Optional: Garnish with 1 square of dark bittersweet chocolate.
Serve cold.
