No-Bake Energy Bites

Snacks.
This recipe comes from Gimme Some Oven. These energy bites are a cinch to make and delicious! Thanks to the flax and chia seeds, 2 energy bites deliver 1.2 g of omega-3's (a full day's worth for women and 75% of a day's worth for men).

No-Bake Energy Bites

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredients
1 cup / 250 ml dry rolled (old fashioned) oats
2/3 cup / 160 ml toasted unsweetened shredded coconut
1/2 cup / 125 ml creamy peanut butter
1/2 cup / 125 ml ground flaxseed
1/2 cup / 125 ml semisweet chocolate chips
1/3 cup / 75 ml honey
1 tbsp / 15 ml chia seeds
1 tsp / 5 ml vanilla extract

Directions

Stir all ingredients together in a large mixing bowl until thoroughly combined.

Cover the mixing bowl and chill in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours, or until the mixture is chilled.  (This will help the mixture stick together more easily.)

Roll into mixture into 1-inch balls.

Serve and enjoy!  Or refrigerate in a sealed container for up to 1 week, or freeze for up to 3 months.

Makes 20 to 25 energy bites.
