Oven Roasted Tomatoes with Feta Cheese

Side Dishes.
While regular old tomatoes work well in this recipe, you can also try substituting heirloom tomatoes that come in a variety of colours – including pink, yellow, purple, green and orange.

Oven Roasted Tomatoes with Feta Cheese


Quantity Ingredients
2 large tomatoes
1/4 cup feta-cheese
2 tbsp finely chopped fresh basil
freshly ground black pepper, to taste


Preheat oven to 375ºF (190ºC).

Slice tomatoes in half length-wise and place cut -side up on a baking sheet, season with pepper.

In a small bowl combine feta and basil.  Place a quarter of the feta mixture on top of each tomato.

Cover and bake for 20-30 minutes.

Serve warm.
