|1/2 cup||rolled oats|
|2 tbsp||ground flaxseed|
|1/2 cup||oat bran|
|1/4 cup||sliced green onion|
|1 tbsp||Dijon mustard|
|1||apple, peeled and diced|
|1 tbsp||freshly squeezed lemon juice|
|3||cloves garlic, minced|
|1/2 cup||low fat salsa|
|1/2 tsp||red pepper flakes, optional|
|freshly ground black pepper, to taste|
|8||whole grain rolls|
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, rolled oats, flaxseed, oat bran, egg, green onions, Dijon, apple, lemon juice, garlic, salsa, pepper flakes and pepper. Combine well.
Form mixture into 8 small patties and place on a baking sheet.
Bake for 30 minutes, turning once after 20 minutes.
Serve patties on whole grain patties with fresh vegetables, such as tomato slices and shredded spinach.
