|2 cups (8 oz.)||walnuts, chopped or in pieces|
|2 tbsp||walnut oil or canola oil|
|1 tbsp||granulated sugar|
|1/2 tsp||salt, if desired|
1. Put the nuts in a food processor along with the oil, sugar and salt, if desired. 2. Process until smooth, which may take several minutes. Stop to scrape down the sides of the container several times. 3. Keep refrigerated in a tightly capped jar. Note: Will not become as creamy as commercial nut butters.
