Watermelon Chutney

Sauces and Condiments.
A summer twist on the classic chutney. 

 Watermelon Chutney


Quantity Ingredients
4 cups watermelon, juiced
2 cups watermelon (white part), small dice
2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
1/2 medium white onion, sliced
1 tbsp minced garlic
1 tbsp minced ginger
1/2 tsp mace
1/4 tsp ground cloves
1 tbsp jalapeno pepper, minced
1 tsp lemon zest
juice of one lemon
2 tbsp currants
2 tbsp walnuts, toasted


  1. Reduce watermelon juice over medium heat to 2 cups
  2. Combine all ingredients, and simmer until almost dry.

Chill and serve.
