Zesty Edamame

Side Dishes.
You’ll find bags of edamame (young green soybeans in pods) in the freezer section of the grocery store. They need only be boiled for steamed for a few minutes before they’re ready to eat. Edamame is a kid-friendly snack, too!

Zesty Edamame

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredients
1 bag (1.1 lb/500 g) frozen edamane (in pods)
zest of one lemon
1/2 tsp / 2 ml coarse sea salt, ot to taste
1/8 tsp / 0.5 ml red pepper flakes

Directions

Fill a saucepan with water and bring to a boil. Add edamame and bring water back to a boil.  Continue to boil for 3 to 4minutes; remove from heat and drain.

Place edamame in a serving bowl and toss with lemon zest, salt and red pepper flakes. Serve warm.

Per 1 cup (250 ml) serving: 138 cal, 13 g pro, 6 g total fat (0 g saturated fat), 11 g carb, 6 g fibre, 0 mg chol, 300 mg sodium
