A website for sandwich lovers

Strange Sandwiches

Got a sandwich creation you're particularly proud of? Well then there's a website just for you. Welcome to the Sandwich Project, a website devoted to collecting and rating anything that can be slapped between two slices of bread or served open-faced. "This is the place to compare what you like in a sandwich with the rest of the Internet." Contributors send in their favorite "recipe" and though it doesn't exactly get the turnout of "American Idol," the site has visitors rank sandwiches on a five-star system. James "Big Gringo" got three stars (from a total of 11 voters) for his Mexican chicken in mayo mix, avocado, lettuce, cucumber, tomato, cheddar cheese, lemon juice, sweet corn, peppers, bacon. The selection has a distinctly Brit flavor since the site originates in the United Kingdom. Though some are clearly regional favorites based on Brit ingredients, there's a nice selection of universal favorites. With the site search function, you can type in "cheese" or "bacon" or "egg" and a world of snacks opens up to you like the fridge door during a midnight raid.
