Life Choices kid-friendly options

Life Choices Foods has introduced healthy versions of chicken nuggets, chicken strips and breaded whole fish fillets the sorts of foods kids like. Unlike their higher fat cousins, these finger foods are not fried, contain no trans fats (no partially hydrogenated oils), no added sugar (yes, competitors add sugar), and are multi-grain coated. The chicken is antibiotic-free and vegetable grain fed. The fish is raised in a wild-setting, sustainable fishery.

We taste-tested these products, and they were a hit. They were crispy without being greasy or oily, and are quick and easy to prepare. As for their nutritional values, here are the specs:

Chicken Nuggets or Strips (per 100 g = 5 nuggets or 3 strips): 190 calories, 8 g fat, 20 mg cholesterol, 580 mg sodium, 250 mg potassium, 16 g carbohydrates, 13 g protein.

Whole Fish Fillets (per fillet): 180 calories, 7 g fat, 30 mg cholesterol, 390 mg sodium, 220 mg potassium, 17 g carbohydrates, 14 g protein.
