Port Credit, Ontario is set to become the latest location on the Planet Organic map, with plans for a 10,000-square-foot natural food grocery store. Port Credit (about 20 minutes west of Toronto) will welcome Ontario's first Planet Organic location, in the building that formerly housed Alternatives Market, which was a pioneering natural food store in Canada.
Planet Organic will bring to this store an enlarged organic produce section, more vitamins and natural body care products, a bigger bulk food section, and a baker's pantry, with hopes of wooing loyal Alternatives Market shoppers. With the demand for organic food on the rise, the late 2006 opening of this store in Ontario will cooincide with with the opening of Planet Organic's fifth western Canadian store, located in Calgary. www.planetorganic.ca
