Omega-3 yogurt for kids

Danone has introduced a yogurt for kids with added DHA, the first Omega-3 enhanced yogurt designed for children. DHA has been found to support healthy brain development. The yogurt comes in 100 gram packages, with 1.5% M.F. and 20 milligrams of DHA per package. The source of DHA is fish oil, and the yogurt contains soya oil and gelatin (it therefore may not be appropriate for strict vegetarians or those with soy allergies).

"Danino" comes in 4 flavours: strawberry, peach, raspberry and banana. One 100 g carton has 90 calories, 1.5 g fat (including 1 g saturated, 0.1 g trans fat and 0.1 g Omega-3 fat), 13 g sugar, 4 g protein, and 15% DV (Daily Value) calcium. www.danino.ca
