Program Includes: Total of 9 appointments scheduled over 12 weeks
(Two 30-minute appointments plus seven 15-minute follow-up appointments. Appointments can be done in person, by phone or via Skype.)
- Initial 30-minute assessment to review goals, medical history, blood work, current food intake, portion sizes, food preferences, restaurants/food courts frequented, supplement use, exercise habits and to take body measurements. Lab tests can be ordered if needed.
- Based on your assessment, Leslie then prepares A Personalized Meal Plan and a Nutrition Recommendations Report which is designed to help you achieve your personal diet and health goals.
- A second 30-minute appointment during which Leslie presents your meal plan and nutrition recommendations. During this appointment, you will be given all the tools you need to get started.
- Seven 15-minute follow up visits booked weekly for the first half of the program and the once every two weeks afterwards. During your follow ups, Leslie will review your food diary, discuss strategies to overcome upcoming obstacles/challenges, measure your weight and set goals for the following week. You’ll learn about reading nutrition labels, navigating restaurant menus, increasing fibre, supplementation,and other topics related to your goals.
If your goals include lowering LDL cholesterol or blood sugar, at 12 weeks Leslie will order lab tests to determine your progress.
Leslie's Three Month Diet & Nutrition Program has helped clients achieve many goals, including: weight loss, weight gain, lowering elevated cholesterol and blood pressure, reducing blood sugar, managing irritable bowel syndrome (low FODMAP diet, food sensitivities), alleviating GERD (gastrointestinal esophageal reflux) symptoms and adopting a plant-based diet.
Professional Fee: $895
If you prefer to come weekly for the duration of the program, or if you want to extend your program past three months, you can add extra follow up appointments. Four 15-minute follow up visits are $250.
Nutrition/diet counseling by a Registered Dietitian may be covered under your extended benefits plan. Check with your benefits manager.
