Whole grain fact sheet boosts awareness

The International Food Information Council (IFIC) has released a new whole grains fact sheet to promote understanding and boost consumption among consumers.

The fact sheet helps consumers easily identify whole grains by acting as a point of reference about the benefits of whole grains and where they can be found.

Whole grains are a rich source of fibre, both soluble and insoluble. Soluble fibre has been shown to lower cholesterol levels and reduce the risk of heart disease.

IFIC has released the fact sheet to raise education and awareness I norder to help consumers reach the recommended daily intake levels.
