Canada's revised food guide to reflect diversity

Health Canada recently announced that among the many factors being considered in revising the Food Guide, is the country's multicultural population. Health Canada is considering the changing cultural profile of the country, along with social and environmental factors such as changing family structure, an aging population, and increased home and work pressures. The revised food guide will reflect the variety and depth of food choices available to Canadians. It is expected to be available in early 2007. www.hc-sc.gc.ca
