EatRight Ontario provides access to Registered Dietitians

The government of Ontario has joined forces with Dietitians of Canada to launch EatRight Ontario - a telephone information service that allows Ontario residents to call in and receive credible information from Registered Dietitians.

Dietitians will be available to discuss healthy eating food choices and explain diet-related risk factors.

Registered Dietitians are qualified practitioners who have met specific national education and training requirements and offer trusted nutrition advice.

The new service, which is available Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm, is available in over 120 languages, including English, French, Mandarin, Spanish, Italian and Punjabi.

The EatRight Ontario service is part of the broader Ontario Action Plan for Healthy Eating and Active Living - an initiative to promote the health of Ontario residents.

The toll free service is available by calling 1-877-510-5102 or by visiting the new EatRight Ontario website.
