Chocolate Chip Yogurt Cookies

Here's an all-time favorite you'll enjoy all the more because yogurt is substituted for some of the fat. 

Chocolate Chip Yogurt Cookies

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredients
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/4 cup soft margarine or butter, softened
1/4 cup vegetable shortening
1/2 cup nonfat plain yogurt
1-1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1-3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup miniature semisweet chocolate chips

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 375�F. In large bowl, beat sugar, brown sugar, margarine and shortening until light and fluffy. Add yogurt and vanilla; blend well. 2. Stir in flour, baking soda and salt; mix well. Stir in chocolate chips. 3. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 375�F for 8 to 12 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool 1 minute on cookie sheets then remove and cool on racks. Nutritional Information Per cookie: 80 calories, 3g total fat, 12g carbohydrate.
